Online Professional Development:

Preparing to Implement Career Choices and Changes

The Instructor’s Resource Center is Academic Innovations' online professional development site for instructors using the Career Choices and Changes curriculum in college and/or adult education courses.

A series of online video tutorials are available to instructors on their own schedule and at their own pace. From 3 to 10 minutes in length, these engaging videos will quickly increase an instructor’s capacity to deliver a high-quality course and follow-up advisory services.

The online tutorials cover a variety of topics, including but not limited to:

• An overview of the curriculum and why a 10-Year Plan is important
• Why the progressive model of the Skills-Based Education Plan is critical in today’s workforce
• How to use the flipped classroom strategy to help students get the most out of your course
• How the Workbook and My10yearPlan.com® work together and how to navigate My10yearPlan.com®
• Midterm and final exam options using My10yearPlan.com® and other strategies for your final exam
